This month, on March 20th, we celebrate the International Day of Happiness. It is a day that encourages us to reflect on what happiness truly means to each of us. It is easy to think of happiness as something distant or difficult to achieve. We often picture it as something we will reach someday in the future, once we achieve certain milestones or reach specific goals.

But what if happiness is already here? What if it is found in the small moments of our everyday lives? Maybe it is in the first sip of your coffee in the morning or in the smile of a colleague that brightens your day. Maybe it is in the meaningful conversation with a friend, where you share thoughts, laughter, or simply listen to each other. Or maybe it is the warmth of the sunlight streaming through your window. These little sparks of happiness can make a big difference in how we feel overall, creating a shift in our well-being.

As we approach World Happiness Day, I encourage you to pause and reflect: Where have you already experienced happiness today? It might be closer than you think — right in front of you.
